In order to facilitate our efforts to identify, prioritize, and fix some of the numerous bugs in the game, we are opening up this official thread as a public consolidated bug list and also to encourage players to report errors. We would like to invite all players to post information about any bugs that are currently existing in the game. Even if you've already spoken directly to a DM about it, or if it's already been posted elsewhere on this forum, please mention it again here in this thread to make it easier for everyone to keep track of them in one place. We plan to periodically go through the thread and summarize the entire list into one post for easier searching.
Some guidelines:
- Read through this list first to make sure you are not repeating something that someone else has already said. If you have additional follow-up information, please reference the number and author of the post to which you are replying.
- One bug per post please, unless you are reporting multiple bugs that are directly related.
- Be descriptive. Providing as much detailed information as you have (even if you think it's insignificant) will help us diagnose and fix the problem faster. We want to know what room you were in, who you were with, what you were doing when it happened, and anything else noteworthy about the situation. Logs are also appreciated.
- Keep your logs concise. We do not need to wade through your entire fight log if we can get the point from a smaller snippet.
- Please be patient. Understand that the code can be complicated and certain errors will take time to diagnose and fix. Please also understand that the priority of each bug is up to the discretion of the staff, and we may determine that some are not considered bugs at all and will not be addressed.
- Certain bugs may cause game crashes or data corruption. By now you should all know better than to try to exploit any known bugs, including those posted here. It should go without saying that anyone found to have been exploiting bugs will be dealt with swiftly and harshly.
It is our goal to reduce the amount of errors so that players can interact with the game the way it was intended instead of having to work around the
frustrations of things not working right. We hope that through the information you provide, we can build a sizeable bug list, and then cull it down as we work
through the repairs. Thank you all for your cooperation.
